Pai Gow

The goal that comes with Pai Gow poker online would be to divide seven cards and make a high hand that consists of five different cards and another high hand that has only two cards. Your hand of five cards needs trump the other and is ranked as per regular rankings of poker hands. Your hand of two cards only has two choices: to be individual cards or a pair. You also have the choice to divide hands on your own or to let your computer do so through a House Way, which you will learn about here. Online keno differs from it a lot.

Pai Gow poker online is played with regular card decks along with a joker, which can be used to finish up straights, flushes, or straight flushes. If not used for these purposes, the joker is treated like an Ace.

The House Way

This refers to rules that say how dealers should arrange their hands. If you want to use it, simply click the button that says “House Way”. Click on “front” if you want to focus on the hand with two cards and click on “back” if you want to focus on the hand with five cards.

The Rules of House Way

  • No Pair
High cards will end up in the back, while the following two will end up in front instead.
  • One Pair
This pair will end up in the back, while the following two high cards will end up in front.
  • Two Pairs
Both pairs will end up in the very back, but they can be divided if a pair has sevens and no Ace; if a pair has jacks or higher, or sixes and or with an Ace; or if one of the pairs happens to be an Ace pair.
  • Three Pairs
Highest pairs will end up in the very front.
  • Three of the Same Kind
These cards will all end up in the very back, unless you have three Aces; these should be split up.
  • Full House
These cards should be split unless you have one king and one Ace or a pair of twos; these will end up in front.

If your full house has two pairs and three of the same kind, the high pair will end up in front in Pai Gow poker online.
